Love that heat pump video. I've always wondered why refrigerators weren't more commonly installed on an outside wall to use the cool winter air to its advantage. We heat our houses and then place a box inside to cool - hmmm.

I've wondered the same thing! Even if it doesn't work all year long, imagine how much power we could save, especially in places where there's a cold season.

I often describe heat pumps to people as inside-out or reverse refrigerators.

That's a good way to do it. People are surrounded by heat pumps, but they never think of them that way... The AC in your house or car, your freezer, your fridge, etc..
