Great video about Hans Zimmer ! The creativity, the enthusiasm, the level of detail... incredible ! Also, great teamwork, he's surrounded himself with the best.
Musicians really are a different species, even at a "lower" level. A friend of mine just released a first album of epic music (The Quest for Gold by Epicarus, sorry, had to do a bit of promotion ^^) and the work, passion and creativity involved are astounding.
I was drawn to the chart comparing coffee vs. softdrinks vs. tea. I can't believe the amount of softdrink consumption! I suppose it makes sense, given that if you walk into any convenience store, there is a massive wall in the refrigerated section of different brands of "energy" drinks, sodas, and other stuff. It makes me sad as a coffee enthusiast, but also because so many of the softdrinks are "junk".
As someone who has never had soft drinks and don't care for them, I sometimes think about how much money I've been able to use for other things (buying books and music) as a default water drinker (though now I drink green tea pretty much daily).
I love this quote - Maybe instead of tariffs, other countries should tell Chinese companies that they can sell their EVs in their markets if they want, but to do so they have to establish a local manufacturing presence, do a joint-venture with a local company, and agree to IP transfers. Ha!

Ans now... let's go re-re-watch Dune 2 :D
I think I had posted it back then, but there's also this great video with Hans and his musicians about the first film's music:

And yes, re-watching Dune 2 is a great idea! 💚 🥃
Great video indeed, thank you ! Amazing teamwork for a phenomenal result !
I like how he obviously sees this as a group effort and constantly praises the musicians rather than try to take all the credit as the composer.
Big time edition! So many interesting tidbits...

Water and green tea is a great formula to have a wonderful and hydrated day. Are you still drinking Sencha?
Yeah, I used to very more but for the past few years, I’ve been drinking almost exclusively Japanese Sencha

I try not to be too snarky in generally, but I couldn't resist here ;)
That video is making me want to see Dune 2 again...
Mission Accomplished!
