Since these models are quickly moving beyond the scale of what human researchers can prove (and maybe even understand), I think a big part of living in the future is going to depend on humans cooperating to attempt to (1) simply understand model outputs of new science and new tech, especially weaponry and (2) agree not to race to implement any dangerous developments against one another.
Maybe this ushers in a return to global cooperation.
