For most people, once they believe something, it's really hard to make them un-believe it” How very true and such an important thing to keep in mind. I wonder what practices can help in creating a beginner's mind/clean slate. Maybe something like Gates's annual 'solo week.'

That's a very good question. I tend to think that it's like a muscle, and the more you do it, the stronger you get at it and the easier it is. So the first step may be to find small, easy ways to do it, and practice on that. In every day conversation, make it clear when you change your mind on something or when someone else has convinced you, etc.. Over time that'll ladder up into bigger decisions and higher stakes, I think.
