I read this a couple days ago and I have been thinking about it on and off. And it really rings true. Outsiders think investing should be exciting. Some newbies think there are huge swings, or super secrets that investors exploit..
But what you said rings true to me also in my investing journey. It is slow and methodical, patiently developing game of inches.... but over time, the inches add up to a lot of ALPHA!

Re: Malone, he got a taste of his own medicine when he demurred picking up MTV, who then ran the ad campaign that encouraged people to call their cable operators and say “I want my mtv!” flooding his (Denver?) office with calls.
Can you recommend a nightlight that has the specifications you describe? Ordering off Amazon feels like a crapshoot for items like this.
Also one thought on the readership/supporters. Though I am a supporter, when I close down my browser all cookies are cleared which likely results in my appearing to be a non-supporter most of the time when I read your posts. Only when I want to comment do I log in.
