Need some recommendations for books to make kids aware about entrepreneurship ( not the ones suggesting to start a lemonade stand or the new craze ones suggesting becoming bloggers and influencers )
I don't have a great one on that yet... First personal finance book I read as a kid was the french translation of Chilton's "Wealthy Barber", but my son may be a bit too young for that.
Warrior Kid series by Jocko has some light entrepreneurial stuff in it (in the second book, at least), but not the main focus.
We really liked it. Surprisingly, my wife liked it and she doesn't gravitate to sci-fi. I'd thought it was going to be self-contained. I guess we'll have to wait until the second installment. Did you also read the book?
I read the book a long time ago when I was in college (while on break, not for class). Loved it, but I should probably re-read it, I bet I'd interpret it very different with 20 extra years of life.
Glad you both liked it! Villeneuve is one of my very favorite directors. If you haven't seen 'em, I highly recommend his other films: Sicario, Prisoners, Arrival, Bladerunner 2049..
How'd you like it? Guessing it wasn't in theater (I saw it twice on IMAX -- wow!), but hopefully you liked it and go a good sense of the scope and beauty of it. 💚 🥃
At 57 I did my first ever 5K (Invest In Yourself - at the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting) a couple weeks ago.
What really helped me get there is the coaching from Peloton app. Having the voice of a coach telling you to focus on foot placement, pelvic rotation, loosen the shoulders, swing the arms, body-scan and release the tension, etc. help me to avoid injuries and improve efficiency. It also makes the time fly - breaking things down to manageable chunks (“8 mph run for 90 seconds and the a 2 minute recovery jog…”).
I have been a avid Peloton rider for a year and a half. But recently have been exploring the running features. (Btw, works outdoor and on any treadmill using the phone app.)
I am sure there are other apps, too. But for me Peloton is like iPhone vs “a smart phone” or Dyson vs “a vacuum” or Tesla vs “an EV”. It’s just better.
If you’re interested ask friend for a 60-day free Peloton trial.
And don’t forget to stretch! Injury is what’s going to take you out of the game.
Your son is a lucky kid!
I'm sure he doesn't always agree, haha
Masterclass on Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure- it was OUTSTANDING! 👏
Right? I thought he did a really great job. Very few questions un-answered after this.
Amulet 🧿👍🏻

Let me know if you find something good!
Thanks
Looking out for vetted content . Curated internet is better that review based internet :) so looking fwd for suggestions 🤖
Yeah, a recommendation by someone who's taste/judgement I trust is priceless vs random reviews!

Cool, thanks!
We just watched Dune this past weekend!

I have recently started running, again.

Congrats on the 5k, Eric! I'd like to get there someday too.
I appreciate the advice. I'm still in the early days of figuring out technique and such, so it's helpful.
Cheers, and happy running! 💚 🥃
