the other thing about batteries is that a base Model 3 has >4X the capacity of a Powerwall and statistically spends most of its life parked...seems kinda silly not to just use the very expensive battery with 4 wheels when you're (almost always) not driving it. ;)
Also good for Barefoot running are the TSLA shoes sold on Amazon (seem to be similar to Merell Gloves (not the five fingers) Cost about $30 a pair and last a long time.
I'm getting really into EV's and solar lately. We placed a deposit on an ID.4 a few weeks ago - no second deposit or "official order" yet as it seems they are behind like everyone else. But we got the ball rolling.
Also, on the grid and renewables, have you heard about the problem of inertia on grids? Apparently all the spinning turbines of days of old kept the frequencies aligned (hertz) but with renewables it's a problem. So much so that engineers are not putting in giant flywheels to maintain grid stability. Who knew!
That's great. Our next car will def be electric (our current one is a 2010 model year, 2 years before the Model S!).
And yea, the grid is fascinating. One of humanity's greatest achievements, and one of the sources of the most units of increase of quality of life ever (up there with indoor plumbing, the green revolution in agriculture, sanitation/antibiotics/vaccines/etc etc)
Topicus appears to be crushing it on M&A this year too, based on what I've seen so far. Wish we had consistent disclose for each group over time so we could more easily follow them, but I understand that they feel this is competitive data and want to play their cards close to the vest..

Yeah, there's interesting ideas for vehicle-to-grid (V2G) uses.
I think it depends a lot on incentives, and on whether people feel the trade-off of putting some more cycles on their batteries is worth it.

First I hear of those. Can't help but see the name as Tesla's stock ticker, though! Thanks

Here's the article from a few months ago: https://www.economist.com/science-and-technology/green-power-needs-more-than-just-solar-panels-and-wind-turbines/21809104

volaris is a beast within a beast. proof of the decentralized org in my opinion. thanks for the insights and thoughts!

Cheers Simon 💚 🥃
if it means fewer people want to bid up the price on constellation (or topicus), I’m okay with it!
