On Microsoft Cloud for Sovereignty, isnt this bad for Cloudflare from a comp perspective? I thought they were building this type of services grounds up vs. trying to hack their way.
It does seem like increased competition, but the devil's always in the detail. So we'd have to look at what both offer. I know that Cloudflare does have a lot of points of presence (POPs) around the world, probably more than the more centralized clouds, thanks to their DNS/DDoS protection history.
Fascinating stuff about the folding of proteins. It would be easy to think that because of the completed sequencing of the human DNA, we have discovered all there is of the human body functions. Turns out, this was just the beginning and there is lots to explore. Can‘t wait to hear about all the interesting and surprising insights that are going to come out in the years to come! And congrats on the 10k!
Yeah, it's a big breakthrough. There's still plenty to do on being better at designing de novo proteins for specific functions, especially proteins that don't look like anything else in nature (because I think even Alphafold is largely trained on patterns that we've seen before and can't do everything with the same level of ease).
