Go with Seveneves. Neal Stephenson is my favorite writer. He is able to add so much context to a good yarn (as he puts it). It is a hard sci fi story (possible based on the science we "know" now, just highly unlikely) that walks through how humans would get off the planet, space travel, epigenetics, bull whip physics, and so much more. I'd also check out Anathem, hard to get started, but also very very good. Again especially if you are liking Project Hail Mary and The Martian.
Also, in regard to your comment in your latest infinite loops interview about games being a great form of education, there is a game called Pentiment that just came out that teaches you about Martin Luther's push back to the catholic church in the 16th century while being a murder mystery.
Thanks Frank! I've only read Cryptomomicon by Stephenson, but remember loving it at the time. I've started Dark Matter by Blake Crouch and like it quite a bit so far, but Seveneves may be next.
The problem is that it's a ratchet, it typically only goes one way. So what starts with good intentions eventually takes up all the oxygen and nobody has any time to do deep work.

Thanks for the rec on Pentiment. Cheers! 💚 🥃
I too hate meetings. We should all cancel recurring meetings

If you are enjoying “Hail Mary” (amazing book btw), check out “The Peacemaker’s Code” by Deepak Malhotra
Thanks Christian! Never heard of that one, will check it out! 💚 🥃
