Liberty, this bit: "It's pretty close to telepathy. Some photons hit your retinas and suddenly my words are inside your brain," sounds right out of Stephen King's "On Writing," which is great (and a pretty fun easy read).

I think there is an entire chapter called "writing is telepathy." http://leftonmallory.com/what-is-writing-why-telepathy-of-course/

Well, there are few original thoughts out there... I've read On Writing maybe 15+ years ago, so there's a decent chance I got the idea there.

This is reminding me of the "How do You Know?" section of edition 34 ("I wish our brains were more like Wikipedia articles. That you could audit the edit history and know the source of everything in there."): https://libertyrpf.substack.com/p/34-daniel-ek-interview-classic-2007

Hey Liberty, can you talk a bit about how what the Oura ring measures can actually used to improve your sleep quality? Maybe just for you specifically? Thanks!

Hey. I think the biggest factors are having a constant reminder that makes you think more about sleep quality. Just keeping it more in mind helps. And also having a much faster feedback loop to learn what has what impact. If I have more than two drinks, I can see the impact in my deep sleep and heart rate variability, if I snack before bedtime, I can see the impact in my body temp and resting heart rate, etc.. You learn what's good for you and what's bad and see it directly. To me it's more powerful than just reading about it and "knowing" it. It's just a much bigger motivator to pose actions. But YMMV.
