I still use RSS as my primary news source and wish it was more common. It allows you to avoid the algorithms and see content that might otherwise have been hidden from you.

I also use NetNewsWire for RSS, but not as a primary source. I also wish it was still widely used and supported rather than an afterthought for most sites.

On the first point, you should read "Factfulness" if you haven't yet...great book. Boyd and Skunk Works have both been languishing on my wishlist...gotta move those up. :) On Aliens: how good is Midjourney getting, wow! Just look at the lighting...just wow.

I haven’t read that one. Hans Rosling is another good read there.

I would highly recommend ‘Stealth’ by Peter Westwick as a fascinating history of the development of Lockheed’s F-117 and Northrop’s B-2 bomber, the competing design philosophies, and the massive technical hurdles both had to overcome. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0197627242/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1685565398&sr=8-1

Thanks Paul! I appreciate the feedback! 💚 🥃

Didn't know specifically about Venus, but every time I learn or re-learn about the probes that were sent all around the solar system decades ago I can't help but marvel at how ingenious and impressive the whole thing is!

Sad news, thanks for sharing.

To think that soon there may be no humans alive who have flown that fast (except astronauts, but that's rockets vs planes).
