I too just found out how amazing All-Clad is! I cooked pancetta with garlic and crushed red pepper with their French skillet this week for a pasta dish, and it came out better than anything I've made in the past!

(Catching up on my reading list).

I am also Team All-Clad for stainless steel pots and pans! I like the copper core line, they hold heat so well on my electric stove. We are sympatico, my friends. I have a Lodge cast iron and Le Creuset wide dutch oven that rock. I recently got a small Caraway set for non-toxic, non-stick pots and pans and have enjoyed them so far.

I also need to finally get that japanese kitchen knife I've been meaning to get for a long time.. Just haven't gotten around to driving to the shop in Ottawa

I wonder how much of that $100B is just to stop or at least cause a competitive pause, to signal an irrational level of commitment. If that's the case, how credible will it be?
