I just finished The Score Takes Care of Itself, which is a bio/leadership book about Bill Walsh. I listened to the Senra podcast on either side of it and really enjoyed the sandwich;)
Nice. I'm not a sports guy, but I like "meta sports" or whatever you call learning about how people become good, teams work together, the strategy of competition, etc.
Kind of like how I like reading about poker or chess and loved watching The Last Dance.
Completely agree re the logic of the Switch 2, but can’t help be a little disappointed just as I was excited to see what they came up with next… seems like they learned their lesson from the Wii U
I think it's normal when a product category is super new to have a ton of experimentation, but over time It's natural to have less of that.
Smartphones are mostly black glass rectangles, not triangles and circles. Mechanical watches have had the same form factor for decades, etc.
I feel like the core switch format has found a pretty mature form factor that probably shouldn't be changed unless you are really certain that you can do better.
If they want to try crazy things, if I was them, I'd do it as accessories to the Switch 2. Unless they really are certain they've got something better.
The Yeager bio is good, although it is well known in pilot circles that fighter pilot stories only have to be 10% truthful.
