Thank you for reading, I appreciate the kind words!
And the answer to your question is basically, I spend lots and lots of hours on this each week, reading stuff, thinking about it, and writing it (this probably a good time to plug the fact that I can only do this thanks to paid supporters: https://www.libertyrpf.com/p/like-what-you-see-become-a-supporter 💚🥃 )
The Complexity Investing Paper is really good; I also enjoy Brad's weekly newsletter SITAL. An oft cited book in his paper is The Origin of Wealth by Eric Beinhocker. I picked it up and plan to dive into it and I also believe Eugene Wei mentioned he was reading it and enjoying it too.
I'm also a fan of SITALweek, lots of good stuff in there. I was actually one of the inspirations for me starting this newsletter, along with Brooklyn Investor and Andrew Walker's blog and probably a few others.
Given your Liberty name, seems you should have at least added amention of Liberty Media's loan to Sirius that arguably has an infinite rate of return givne how it was paid back in six months IIRC and turned into 40% of SIRI equity.
Hey Steven. That's definitely one of the all-time greats. The list isn't mine, but it would be a good addition to it.
Trivia: I picked the alias Liberty a long time ago before I had even heard of John Malone and his companies. It turned out well, because now I'm a fan, but it's totally coincidental.
I was joining a forum (CoBF) and had to pick something. I looked at my bookshelf and one of the books had the word "Liberty" in the title, and I thought something like "that's a good word, too bad it's kind of become a political buzzword that doesn't mean anything... well, screw it, it's perfectly good concept that I love, so I'm going to try to reclaim it" (or something like that).
Continue to enjoy your newsletter and cannot wait when new issues come out. How do you this?!

Great - by the way, I have found your newsletter high quality too! Keep it up.

I wondered what the history was behind your handle. Apparently you and the good Doctor think alike! Thanks for sharing!
