Not sure how accurate the nuclear graph is. I see the source but it seems misleading. I grew up just a few miles from Millstone, the nuclear plant in CT. It's been scheduled for decommissioning for decades. Yet there's no alternative so it's perpetually renewed despite a less than stellar safety record. Most recently about a decade ago it was given a multi decade extension.
Personally I've never used slack, but discord yes. And I'm older than you. I'm down for whichever you think is best. I appreciate reading your open thoughts fairly regularly on this blog.
Yeah -- I don't expect such a channel would be for *everyone*, but even if just 1% of readers decided it was for them, that's still a nice little pre-Dunbar group!

I can't decide if Discord or Slack would be better...
Discord seems to have better community tools.
But more people are probably already on Slack and that's probably lower friction.
...but many people are on Slack for work, and some probably don't want to associate a work too with non-work 🤔

The "RaaS" section is absolutely wild. Feels like something *obvious* that you forget about that is happening right underneath your nose.
