TL/DR right now in the west, a lot of podcasts monetize a premium feed via Patreon, etc. That should be native to the podcast players.
Yeah, that makes sense. I like how Overcast basically has created that features for a few of the pocasts on the podcasts networks of people Marco knows (Relay FM), where in the App there's a button that takes you to their subscribe page.
